Terms of service

The service

Popscout finds social-media creators who match your hashtags, finds a public contact email where one is posted, writes an outreach pitch for each creator, and helps you track your outreach and the posts that follow. Popscout never sends email or messages for you; you send them yourself. You must be 18 or older and using Popscout for a business.

Your account

Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account per business unless your plan includes client workspaces. Don't share your login outside your business.

Plans and limits

Each plan includes a number of new creators per month (Starter 150, Growth 750, Agency 3,000), a number of hashtags per scan (3, 9, 30), one automatic scan a day, and a number of extra manual scans a day (1, 2, 4). Unused creators don't roll over. We may slow or pause usage that looks automated or abusive.

Trial, billing and renewal

Paid plans start with one 7-day free trial per business, which needs a card. During the trial you get up to 2 new creators a day, 1 extra scan a day and 3 hashtags; your plan’s full limits start with your first payment. When the trial ends your plan starts and renews automatically, monthly or yearly as you chose, at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. Yearly plans are billed up front at the discounted yearly price. Cancel any time in Settings (Manage subscription); you keep access until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again. Payments are not refunded for partly used periods, except where the law requires. If a payment fails, scans pause until it's fixed. Prices may change with 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal.

Acceptable use

Contact creators only for a genuine business purpose. You are responsible for the messages you send and for following anti-spam and consumer law where you and the creator are, including CASL in Canada and CAN-SPAM in the US: identify yourself truthfully, make honest offers, and stop contacting anyone who asks. Disclose paid partnerships as advertising rules require. Do not harass anyone, contact minors, or try to get around plan limits or access other customers' data. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content and the AI

You own your brand information and your pitches. Pitch drafts are written by an AI model from your brief and creators' public posts; they can contain mistakes, so read them before you send.

Accuracy

Creator emails, follower and view counts, Pop Scores, buyer-interest signals and rate estimates come from public data and rules of thumb. They can be out of date or wrong, and rate estimates are not quotes. Post detection looks for your code, link or brand name and can miss posts or match the wrong one.

Creator data

Creator information in Popscout comes from public profiles and posts. Use it only to run your own campaigns; do not export it to build mailing lists, resell it, or combine it into a database for others.

Availability

We aim to keep Popscout available and scans running daily but don't guarantee it, and features may change. Third-party platforms (like TikTok) can change what data is available.

Liability

Popscout is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account any time in Settings. We may close accounts that break these terms. Sections on amounts owed, liability and creator data survive.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: hello@popscout.app.
