Who we are
Popscout helps businesses find social-media creators and write outreach pitches to them. We are based in Ontario, Canada. Contact: hello@popscout.app.
What we collect from you
Your account email and a password hash (handled by Supabase Auth, or Google if you sign in with Google), your brand details, offer, coupon code and link, your hashtags and pitch style, the pitches written for you and any edits you make, the outreach progress you record (who you pitched, who replied), and billing details handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
What we collect about creators
From public TikTok profiles and posts: handle, display name, bio, link-in-bio, follower and view counts, recent video captions, a sample of public comments (to estimate buyer interest), and a contact email if one is published in the bio or on the link-in-bio page. We use this to score creators and show brands how to contact them. Popscout itself never emails or messages creators; brands contact them directly. Our public Creators to Watch pages show only handles and public view statistics, never contact details.
Creator removal
Creators can ask to be removed at hello@popscout.app. We mark the profile as removed so future scans skip it for good, and delete the contact email we hold.
How we use data
To run the service, to write and improve pitches, to keep the service secure and within plan limits, to send you account emails (a morning summary you can turn off in Settings, a few onboarding emails during your trial, and billing notices), and to comply with the law. We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Who else processes it
Service providers that run Popscout for us, each seeing only what it needs: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (emails to you and creator confirmation emails), ScrapeCreators (public social-media data), Anthropic (writes pitch drafts and runs the Pitch Studio chat from your brief and creators' public posts), Sentry (error reports, which can include your account ID and the page you were on), and Plausible (cookie-free, anonymous visit statistics). Some of these store data outside Canada, including in the United States.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while you have an account. You can delete your account any time in Settings: it cancels your subscription and permanently deletes your brand, pitches and pipeline right away. Backups roll off within 30 days. Stripe keeps invoices as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information. Residents of Canada (PIPEDA), the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA) have these rights under law; email hello@popscout.app and we respond within 30 days.
Cookies
Only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. Plausible analytics sets no cookies and collects no personal data.
Children
Popscout is for businesses and people aged 18 or older. Brands must not use it to contact creators who appear to be under 18.
Changes
We note the date of any change here and email account holders about material changes before they take effect.
